William Stanley Dixon

Mr. William Stanley “Bill” Dixon, age 69, of Blackshear, passed away Friday morning (12/31/21) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.

Born July 17, 1952 in Blackshear, he was a son of the late Ransom Floyd and Jessie Robson Dixon. He lived all of his life in Pierce County and was retired as a maintenance director with the Pierce County Commission.

Survivors include his two children, Jessica Dixon (Alton Todd) of Blackshear and Jason Dixon (wife Desire’) of Japan; 5 grandchildren, Zach Wilson of Waycross, Lawton Wilson and Jesse Wilson, both of Blackshear, and Natalie Dixon and Evan Dixon, both of Japan; 3 sisters, Juanita Boatright and Brenda Scott, both of Blackshear, and Bonnie Lewis of Fernandina Beach, FL; brother, Travis Dixon (wife Elizabeth) of Cummings, GA; nieces and nephews, Anna Strickland, Tammy O’Neal, and David O’Neal, all of Blackshear, Vicki Lewis of Fernandina Beach, FL, Ricky Lewis of Jacksonville, FL, Amy Anderson of Cummings, GA, and Abby Gillis of Orlando, FL; his special pet, Ziva; and several other relatives.

A memorial service will take place in the coming days.
