Mr. William Kevin Stephens, age 51, of Blackshear, passed away early Wednesday morning (11/3/21) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.
Born July 8, 1970 in Blackshear, he was a son of Jo Ann King Stephens and the late William Eddie Stephens. He had lived all of his life in Pierce County and was a 1988 graduate of Pierce County High School. He had worked in concrete construction with Wayne Council and also with ScotBuilt Homes, Inc. and Clayton Homes in Waycross. He was a member of Youmans Chapel Baptist Church and also attended Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Baker Stephens of Blackshear; 2 children, Cody Stephens (wife Destiny) of Talladega, AL and Sadee Stephens of Calabash, N.C.; 4 grandchildren, Haylee Liddell of Blackshear, Autumn Stephens, Baylee, and Chase Stephens, all of Talladega, AL; his mother, Jo Ann King Stephens of Blackshear; his brother, Terry Stephens (wife Tracy) of Blackshear; 2 nieces, Tricia Gibbons (husband Jeremy) of Fitzgerald and Anna Stephens of Blackshear; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place Saturday morning (11/6/21) at 11 a.m. at Youmans Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Waters Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening (11/5/21) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday morning one hour prior to the service.
